Rose Mixed Breed Oakland, CA

Meet adorable Rose, the One-Eyed Wonder Mutt! Lover of cheese, neck scritches, and laps, this sweet young girl arrived at the shelter with an eye injury that required removal. She is now healing nicely and feeling so much better. She recently went on a field trip to the Albany waterfront with a volunteer and did great! She was excited and curious about all the sights and smells. She calmly observed ground squirrels, geese, passing dogs, and even strollers and bicycles like a champ. Rose checked in several times with her human companion and was also happy to snuggle on a bench for a while and take in the scenery. She was pretty good on leash, only pulling lightly on occasion, and has the cutest little prance and tail wag! She also did great in the car.

Rose is affectionate with people she knows, seeking love and attention, and has done well with other small dogs at the shelter. She can be cautious about new people and will need an experienced adopter in a calm adult household where she has time to get comfortable.
