Meet ROSCA - $200

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

ROSCA was saved from a kill shelter in Georgia and arrived at Give a Dog a Home Rescue, in Sebec, Maine on 5 April 2024. She along with 3 other pitties that we saved were extremely emaciated with pressure sores that were treated and have all healed. They have all also been eating great and have actually put on a bit "too" much weight, so will need to go on a diet for the first few weeks, to be sure to lose those extra pounds and to be at a healthy weight.

ROSCA is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, monthly preventatives, heartworm and tick disease tested negative and is microchipped with 24PetWatch. She has an estimated date of birth of 4 April 2021 and in April 2024 weighed of 32 pounds, but as mentioned has gained weight. We have no way of knowing the breed, it is up to individuals to look at the pictures and videos to make up their own mind.

This sweet girl has done a lot of healing since being here and is so loving and gentle. We thought we was lucky to have found her forever family, but sadly after just being there for less than 12 hours, the family felt she was too big and that there chihuahua was not being accepting of her. She has been there for 2 weeks, and will finally be coming back to the rescue on Sunday 26th May and this is what the family said about her during her 2 weeks with them:

Just to let you know about Rosca - she is house trained. She only goes pee and poop outside.

If she absolutely has to go and I am not there to let her out, she pee's by the door where I let her out as if she was waiting there to go outside but couldn't wait. This only happened 2 times as she had to go very early in the morning.

She can bark. She only barked 2 times, once when she heard my neighbor talking through the woods and another time she heard a landscape guy come here for an estimate. So, it's nice because you don't have to deal with a dog that barks at everything, she is on the quiet side which is very nice.

She is good on the leash, she walks nicely and does not pull.

She is content and easy to care for. She loves to play ball, I throw it and she retrieves it and brings the ball back to me to throw again.

She is lovable and bonds quickly. She is sweet and smart, you can see her thinking. She is fun and you can see her smile and get happy.

We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue

YouTube channel

and

photo albums on our Facebook page

to see a LOT of pictures and videos.

We are looking for families that have the lifestyle that the dog needs to lead a healthy, both mentally and physically life, who can afford a GOOD quality food, toys and treats and understand the importance of veterinary wellness checks.

ROSCA is located at the rescue in Sebec Maine and is available for a reduced adoption fee of $200.

Interested families are required to complete our application process and once approved schedule an appointment to come to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Our process takes 1-2 days as long as we are able to talk to references, so be prepared to be approved (hopefully) to adopt within a few days of submitting the adoption application.
