ROCKY Miniature Poodle Millerstown, PA

So we gave this boy a strong name hoping to build his confidences. Rocky was a stud dog. When he stopped doing the job he was expected to do it was time for him to be retired. Hence being here at the rescue. Rocky is a sweet shy boy. He is adjusting in his foster home but new things are scary. He uses he doggie door. Everything is new to him since he was never a house dog. He is trying though.
He is a digger out in the fenced yard. He runs away when his foster mom tries to give him food, and has to just let him sneak into the kitchen when the rest of her dogs and foster dogs are done and else where in the house. He may have been bullied by others at meal time were he came from. We feel with a little more time he will calm down.
A quiet, easy going, calm home might be the best for him. Believe he will do well with a patient person or people and become a loving little lap dog. He will be 7 years of age Feb 2024. He might weigh in at 10lbs but believe he is less. Little update: Rocky now dances on his back feet and waves his paws to beg for a treat or say hi. He is a sweet little guy!
