Rocky American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Livingston Manor, NY

Rock was brought to the NYCACC - the New York City Animal Care Centers - the NYC Municipal Shelter as an owner surrender back in June 2023.

They didn't really give a reason and it seemed they didn't even care.

His time was coming to an end and he was in danger of being euthanized.

One of our great fosters stepped up to save his life.

Rocky is a very sweet gentle boy who absolutely loves attention and affection. This boy will be your shadow. He needs a family that will help nurture his confidence and further his training to help him achieve his fullest potential. Rocky does have some separation anxiety issues when left alone but with the right family Rocky can overcome that challenge. Rocky would rather send his days curled up next to his family wherever they may be. He just wants affection.

Rocky will cry until you go say hello to him after you have been gone for a few hours. Rocky also will not come move an inch until you hug him when he comes out of his crate.
