Riggs Weimaraner Charlestown, IN

Hi, my name is Riggs. I was born on August 17, 2022, so I am over 1-1/2 years old. I came into LWR with my brother Rhett. We are currently being boarded in Florence, KY. This is the fourth place we have been in our short life. The other three places were homes where we were too much for them. I am a blue Weim, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm negative and started on prevention, and the rumor is that I am being neutered soon. A nice LWR volunteer and her daughter visit with me. They report I am very sweet and curious. When we went to the vet, I was a very good boy. I am very food motivated and will need work on things like sit and stay, along with leash and potty training. I do like to use my mouth while playing so probably shouldn’t be in a household with small children as that may be misunderstood for something else. I love to explore and would be happy going hiking or being able to run with my new family. I am very smart and will learn quickly. All the people at the boarding facility are super nice. They take care of me and get me out to play and socialize. When Rhett and I first arrived, we were in a kennel together, but then we had a spat, so they had to separate us. This is probably due to us not being neutered and each of us trying to be dominant. At least that is what I hear. I would like to have a home with another dog to play with. The more exercise and training I get, the more I will become a behaved, loving member of the family. I am hopeful my forever family is out there, and I won’t have to move around anymore. It is very stressful to keep moving places. Oh! No cats for me!
