Ribsy Mixed Breed Saskatoon, SK

Ribsy is a tall strong boy, about a year old, 70 pounds, with long legs (he is 23inches at the shoulder). As we learn more about this fun loving boy we wanted to provide an update! Ribsy is the welcome committee at our house - no matter if he knows you are not or how many people of any age come into the house - he couldn't be happier. He doesn't jump or bark when people come to the door not even for any deliveries or the mail carrier. He actually doesn't bark much at all, even with the peer pressure he gets from other dogs in the neighbourhood. Ribsy has welcomed another foster to the house and as has enjoyed showing her the ropes and of course how to play with toys! Through new hope dog rescue, he has had the opportunity to take part in off leash group dog walks/daycare and has enjoyed it tremendously - he runs and runs. Nothing makes him happier except maybe sleeping, snuggling, showing you his toys, and hanging out with you while doing chores (yard work is his favourite)! He loves any walk including a leashed walk but doesn't understand why he can't go make friends so we are working on his energy in busy and exciting areas.

When we leave the house without him, he is in his crate and relaxes fine and has no problem going in with treats. When working from home - he is in the crate, the bedroom, or the office. Ribsy is super easy to train - he is very food motivated, smart, and really wants to be good. He has learned to sit, wait and make eye contact before he is released for his meals in a slow feeder (true to his lab heritage!). We have gone on lots of car rides and he enjoys them and waits patiently when I go run errands. If you want to meet a great dog or just feel good at the end of the day - he is your guy!

Adoption fee is $295. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, current on vaccines and has received a wellness exam.
