Meet Red
Red
~5 years old, Male, Australian Cattle Dog Mix
Meet Red! Red was recently surrendered back to our program as his previous home was not a good fit for him. Upon his surrender he was evaluated by our behavior specialist who feels confident in his ability to adapt to a home environment that is better suited to his needs! Red has a very sweet and loving temperament and loves humans and other dogs. He is constantly asking for pets and cuddles from his people and would love to live with someone he can be stuck to like glue! He is a quintessential, mouthy cattle dog. He gets very vocal when he plays, which can be intimidating to some dogs and people, but he is a respectful player and reads other dogs and peoples body language very well. While Red has lived with young children perviously, he is probably best in a home with older children or adults only. He would love to be in a home that is active, can offer him structure and routine, and who understands his odd cattle dog tendencies! He would benefit from living with someone who can be stern with him when necessary. This loving tripod is looking forward to finding his forever family!
THE AAC IS OPEN BY APPOINTMENT ONLY!
To set up a meet and greet, please fill out a dog adoption application ASAP or if you have already submitted one with us, call/email to put your name in line. We will form a line like usual based on who has an active and approved application in. We will go through our line to set up a private meet and greet for potential adopters to foster. 307-739-1881 adopt@animaladoptioncenter.org
Please note, Animal Adoption Center cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have no history prior to them entering the rescue. We make every effort to ensure the dogs are healthy. Please know that our intention is to insure long lasting committed homes for the animals at the AAC. If we feel that an animal and a potential owner are not a good fit we reserve the right to refuse adoption.
