Rebecca doesn't know how to be sad. No matter what the circumstance, her tail is wagging and her eyes are bright. She wants to greet every person she meets with a hug! She firmly believes that personal space is nonsense, and will wiggle and nuzzle her way into any lap. You would never believe she spent over 2 years in a shelter in Tennessee.

Rebecca is house trained. She doesn't mind her crate at all but her foster family stopped using it since she doesn't need it. She's got the perfect energy balance. Short bursts of high intensity squirrel-chasing, zoomies, or playing with another dog followed by spending the majority of he day napping in her favorite chair. Always with a blanket of course!

She's been good with all the dogs she’s met in her foster home! Rebecca has been around kids and she absolutely loved them! She did meet a cat, gave it a curious sniff, the cat swatted at her and Rebecca respectfully backed away and gave the cat space.

She barks a normal amount - it's not excessive. She'll bark if someone walks by the window or if she hears animals on the other side of the fence or something. Rebecca enjoys chewing on toys - the really tough plastic ones are probably best for her, but she also has fun killing the stuffed animals. She's ok on a leash, not trained to heel yet but she doesn't pull much.

Her likes include: Snuggles (like would love to share your pillow with you kinda snuggles), Hugs, Dancing, Peanut Butter, Cheese Whiz, Treats (really any food), Having her neck scratched under her collar, Meeting new people and getting pets!

Her dislikes list is nonexistent. This dog is always so happy. She likes everything. Well, except storms. She does NOT like those, but we can’t blame her. Extra love and cuddles during thunder for this girl!

Rebecca is working on: Basic commands - she has almost mastered "sit" already, we are just starting "down".
Needs improvement: She will try to sneak out the front door, and if she's left alone in a yard it needs to be securely fenced.

Rebecca is honestly such a sweetheart! A true gem. She just seems so genuinely happy to be in a house and not in a shelter anymore, and to have a person. She’d be the perfect dog for a family looking to add a second playmate dog without having to go through the hassle of house training and puppy stuff. She loves attention. She's respectful of the older, grumpy dog in her foster home. She even likes to put her paws in her foster mom’s lap and stand on her hind legs and make appearances in zoom meetings!

Her foster mom has had a lot of foster dogs, and this is one of the good ones. Super sweet, eager to please, very easy to take care of. You would never guess she spent 2.5 years in a shelter. Really just a good dog, everyone who has met her has adored her!!!
