Meet Raven
Meet the adorable and shy girl, Raven! She's around 42lbs and just about a year old. She's a border collie mix, not sure what she's mixed with but she sure is cute! She would make a wonderful bestie or great addition to your pack. She's got unique markings and sweet sad looking brown eyes. Make sure to see her video!
As how perfect Raven seems to be, she is actually a special needs medical dog, looking for a special person or family who truly loves and cares for her. And while she has medical issues...she doesn't act like it. If we didn't have medical reports telling us of her issues...you would never know that she had problems. She can go from being fairly calm to full on border collie... feisty/running/flying/jumping...but so far, she has wanted to remain in fairly close proximity to us. She can be vocal at times. And while on special (prescription) foods (for liver care), she is a very good eater, especially when we add extra protein like boiled chicken breast and eggs. Her meds are easily administered with food, 2x per day. Her prescriptions consist of: Denamarin (1x day), Furosemide 50mg (1/2 pill per dose, every 12 hrs), Laculose liquid (1x day), Melatonin 10 mg ( 2x per day), and Pimobendan (1/2 pill every 12 hrs). She has been diagnosed with congenital Portosystemic Shunt and low degree of heart murmur. She has responded to her meds and special diet very well. She actually appears to be a happy go lucky girl!
