Meet Rasta
Meet Rasta: The Charismatic Survivor! ?
Introducing Rasta, affectionately known as Rasta Pasta among friends! This little cutie, estimated to be around three years old and weighing in at about ten pounds, has a story of resilience that will tug at your heart.
? Background Story:
Found as a stray on the side of the road by our local animal control, Rasta had an injured leg, possibly from a car accident. Thankfully, with care and attention, he's made a 100% recovery! While we don't know his story before coming to us, we do know he hadn't been on heartworm prevention, and he's currently undergoing a four-month treatment plan.
?? Personality and Preferences:
Sweet and cuddly with those he knows.
Timid or standoffish with strangers; working on socialization.
Not a fan of small children or most dogs, prefers a quiet home.
Made friends with an older chihuahua, but has a unique approach to meeting new dogs.
? Ideal Home:
Foster or foster-to-adopt home during heartworm treatment.
Patient person for socialization and comfort-building.
Quiet home with little traffic.
A character who loves to army crawl and be the nosy neighbor!
? Fostering Information:
Potential fosters must live in the Cabarrus/Mecklenburg area due to frequent visits for Rasta's heartworm treatment. If you're ready to open your heart and home to this resilient little guy, please call us at (704) 784-7387.
