Meet Rambo
Rambo was an owner surrender to the Animal Care and Control (NYCACC). His owner said he had no time for him. His owner also said that he was given to him five months prior as a "gift"???
At the shelter he was so scared he was literally shaking. In fact this was written about him: Initially he was huddled in the back of his kennel, trembling on his blankets, trying to be small and invisible. Now he is open to seeing visitors, slowly coming to the front to take treats gently from the staff who speak kindly to him. His time was coming to an end and he was scheduled for euthanasia. An amazing woman stepped up to save his life,

RAMBO is a 3 year old male neutered mix breed dog. He came to me about 6 months ago from NYC saved from a Euthanasia list because the people that worked with him at the shelter felt he was very adoptable and would make a good companion for the right person or couple.
RAMBO is about 90 lbs and is very strong so it is recommended that he only go to a home with either adult children or a single adult home or family home without children. RAMBO greets people he meets on leash with a loose body and wagging tail but has the tendency to jump up and try to put his feet on people and overall plays rough but responds positively to verbal correction.
RAMBO likes to go on walks and play with his toys in the yard. He does not exhibit resource guarding towards his toys or his food. RAMBO can be touched while eating or playing w a toy with out an aggressive response or behavior. RAMBO has not been cat or Dog tested so it is advised he go to a pet free home at this time.
RAMBO seems to very much want to connect with his own person one on one but due to my living situation and my own dogs I'm unable to give RAMBO the type of foster home he needs to flourish and have a good life. Under current circumstances RAMBO is crated or separated the majority of the day with exception to a cpl hours of outdoor Playtime. With my work schedule about to change I'm really not able to provide RAMBO the home he deserves and am hoping someone would
