Meet Quincy
Quincy is affectionate, people centered, a great walking partner, and playful. He was easy in his foster home and is 95 percent housetrained. He is 10 months old, 33 lbs Shep mix with a gorgeous fluffy coat. He's an amazing young dog with a traumatic past.
Quincy has socialized and evolved remarkably over the past 2 months. He was left at the shelter with 3 of his siblings. Their behavior indicates that they were confined in a small space and probably fought for food. The siblings don't trust each other or other dogs, but they have all been remarkable with people. They had weak underdeveloped hind legs which are now strong and healthy.
So Quincy is looking for a one dog home, and an owner who will keep broadening his horizons. He is fine around dogs when on his leash, he completely defers to his handler and ignores other dogs. He is young and with continued good dog experiences we hope he will become "doggy social". In the interim, he can be a great companion for his humans!
