DOG'S DESCRIPTION:
Meet Pup Briggs, the adorable Shar Pei Mix with a heart of gold! At just 4 months old and weighing approximately 30 pounds, Briggs is a bundle of joy waiting to bring endless love and happiness into your life.
Briggs is the epitome of sweetness. His playful nature is infectious, and he's always up for a game of fetch or a romp in the yard. But what he loves most of all is cuddling up with his favorite humans. This little snuggle bug will melt your heart with his affectionate nature and warm cuddles. While Briggs is still learning the ropes, he's eager to please and is already catching on to potty training. Walking on a leash is a new concept for him, but with a little patience and guidance, he'll soon master it like a pro. While he can be a bit barky at times, he's surprisingly quiet when cozy in his crate, making him a considerate roommate. Briggs has a special fondness for other dogs and would thrive in a home with a furry sibling to play with. And while he enjoys indoor snuggles, he also needs a yard where he can stretch his legs and explore to his heart's content.
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
