2/27/24 day trip notes: Day Trip Notes: Pumpkin is a really sweet girl. When I first got her out of the kennel she was all tail wags and licks. Once outside she peed immediately. She walks super well on the leash, without pulling. She also can pick up the pace if you do! She enjoyed going to the park and sniffing around, where she did #2! She knows sit, and was not jumpy when I had food. Overall I think she's a really great girl. She had some anxiety where she whimpered and growled in the car but then settled down and rode quietly.

2/26/24 staff notes: I got Pumpkin out for some activity time today. She came up to the kennel door with a wiggling body and wagging tail. She was easy to leash and hopped right out. When we got to the room she jumped up and got some love, but what she's really looking for is treats! This girl LOVES her treats! She tries to sit pretty for them but get too excited and starts jumping. I bet with how treat motivated she is she would be highly trainable. Pumpkin didn't want to play with a ball, and got scared by a squeaky toy, so we stuck to cuddles and treats for her. She loves pets and cuddles, and especially likes butt scratches! Her ears do the cutest thing where one lays across her head while the other sticks out to the side, it's too cute!!
I decided to work her brain and worked on her staying sitting instead of jumping up for treats. It took her a couple tries, but she caught on quickly! She's a smart cookie! Pumpkin would be great for someone who wants a highly trainable dog!! Smart and sweet, what more can you ask?
