Meet Puddles

Puddles is 3years old and a tiny 35lbs. He was rescued from a horrific situation in Indonesia where someone tried to drown him as a puppy with his mother and siblings. . Rescuers came in and were able to save him and his mom (who was recently adopted) and they were brought to USA. He suffered a bit of sight damage which only affects his right eye and does not hinder him at all! He loves to play ball although he is terrible at it. He also loves walks and playing in the yard.
Puddles is crate-trained, house- trained and gets along with most other dogs. He is very playful and loves to be outside exploring the yard - fenced in yard is preferable. Because of his past, a meet and greet is important for him to warm up and know he is safe. He most likely is not ok with cats but it has not been tested. He is registered as a collie-mix but is actually a Kintamani/collie mix. Because of this, he has the SOFTEST coat that sheds very little. He loves cuddles and being pet.
He does have some resource guarding issues with other dogs and should be fed separately until this issue is resolved. He also has some puppy tendencies with chewing shoes that he is working on.
He gets along with children, other dogs and is currently being fostered on farm with other animals, we don’t know if he gets along well with cats and livestock as it has not been tested at this time.
He requires special needs because of the head injury he received as a pup does make him quirky. His eyesight is not the best so sudden or loud noises do make him scared. He is very good driven and would thrive in a quiet home with a backyard and someone who is patient and soft spoken. While he gets along with children, we wouldn’t recommend a home with children because of the chance that him becoming scared could make him reactive. His trust is easily won through treats,
