Meet Prince Jersey
Prince Jersey is handsome 1-2 year old goldenlabradoodle (50% poodle, 25% golden retriever, 50% lab per DNA) who recently joined us from another shelter where he was relinquished from a puppy mill. He is ~45lbs
He is SILLY and GOOFY and loves zoomies in the yard, playing with toys and chasing his dog friends. However, he is timid with people he doesn't know and new environments; he will need an adopter commited to helping build his confidence with others and the world around him. He is more comfortable with female care-givers, but is learning that his foster dad is awesome too. With those he trusts he is an EXCELLENT snugglebuddy and leans in so close for cuddly contact.
Jersey will require a securely fenced in yard and another confident social dog in the home. He does have some prey drive, especially around chickens and should not be unsupervised with poultry. He has done awesome with every dog he's met so far and loves to play chase with his dog friends once he's comfortable with the environment.
Jersey is crate trained and sleeps quietly overnight, however he did cry for about 5-10 minutes the first few days in his foster home. He hasn't had any accidents and is trained to a schedule. He will pace and whine when he needs to go outside, but does not head to the door yet.
He is learning how to walk nicely on a leash, but is quite polite about following his person and not pulling! Jersey is neutered, negative for parasites, vaccinated (rabies, distemper, bordatella) and microchipped! He does lightly shed and will require regular grooming/haircuts!
Jersey has SO MUCH potential and is a very sweet boy. We can't wait to see him find his happily ever after and BLOSSOM ♥
