Pretty Polly - sweet as they come Hound Mix Underhill, VT

Please let us introduce Pretty Polly. What a sad start in life this sweet girl had! She and her brother were found at about 5 months old on a country road. They were in terrible emaciated condition and covered in bite marks.. It's believed that they were raised by a hunting dog owner and were dumped when they didn't meet expectations. Polly had a painful swollen jaw and was unable to eat at first. But those bad days are behind her now and she's receiving lots of TLC in a kind foster home.

Polly is now about 8 months old and weighs in at around 40 pounds. Breed is a best guess....possibly Hound/lab mix. Mostly Heinze 57 pups. Her foster mom says she's super lovable, affectionate, very smart and loves playing with her toys. She can be a bit shy in new situations, but warms right up to a kind voice and touch.

This sweet girl gets along great with other dogs. She has not been observed around a cat. She walks well on a leash and has made good progress with her house and crate training. A consistent routine and positive reinforcement are all she needs to master those things. This smart girl has learned lots of commands. She LOVES the water! She is not fostered with children, but considering her sweet nature, we think she'd be a great family addition with kids over 8. . .

Pretty Polly has been spayed, micro-chipped and is up to date on vaccinations. She's also on monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventative.
