Potter Pointer Mix Wantagh, NY

Sweet Potter was picked up as a stray in Alabama and brought to the shelter after having been hit by a car. Due to the shelter being beyond capacity, she was put into a crate where she sat in the shelters garage while in pain for weeks. Our rescue affiliate advised us of the situation and we knew we had to step in immediately as she was at high risk of euthanasia.

Unfortunately, Potters leg was irreparably damaged due to severe tendon and nerve damage and as such had to have her leg amputated. She is about 4 weeks post op and her progress has been nothing but amazing and incredible. Just because Potter is a "tripod" do not let that deter you or frighten you as she can get around just as good as our 4 legged friends. She is able to walk, loves to play ball, is a big snuggler, can go up and down steps, as well as the fact that she loves everyone she meets including other dogs and cats. Potter is literally the perfect dog. She is approximately 2 1/2 to 3 years old and is rather petite as well at just about 30 lbs. And when we tell you she is beyond sweet, that is an understatement.

Potter is currently located on Long Island, NY and is available w/transport to NY/NJ/CT/PA.
