Poppa Mixed Breed Baton Rouge, LA

Poppa is a small mixed breed. He is 28 pounds and 3 years old. We think he may have dachshund but he's a little taller than a standard dachshund. He is super sweet and loving but very laid back and timid. At adoption events and meets, he mostly just lays and looks around. He kind of perches like a cat and tucks his legs inward. At his foster home, you can see in his pictures how comfortable and relaxed he is. Poppa like to lay his paw on you to get your attention and loves cuddles and belly rubs. He is wonderful with children and other dogs and very submissive. He can be trusted outside of a kennel when his foster leaves but he does not mind a kennel. Even though he is shy outside of the home, he has shown any fearful behavior. Poppa came from a sad background but he's still very trusting of people.
