Meet Pixie Powder

Wonderful things come in small packages!

Meet Pixie Powder! Pixie Powder is in a foster home in Spokane, WA and can be transported to your area. (See information below in the Adoption Donation section.)

Born in August of 2023, Pixie Powder is a small female, jet-black Labrador Retriever mix (best guess). Pixie Powder has the warmest chocolatey brown eyes and the most endearing floppy ears. She is a friendly, curious, activity loving girl who enjoys playing, chewing, and romping with equal joy. Pixie Powder relishes playing with other dogs; she can't comprehend that other dogs might want to do anything else! Fortunately, she's an independent girl who can amuse herself with toys or sticks or chews when her friends need a break. Pixie Powder likes the older kids she has met (she hasn't met younger children yet) she wants everyone to join in her games and give her head scratches. This girl is up for adventures, whether it is an explore along the water or a trip to Bass Pro Shops. Pixie Powder is the ideal companion dog.

Pixie Powder learns quickly. She is fully crate trained, and she can spend several hours quietly in her crate with her toys and chews. She is potty trained, has good recall skills, sleeps through the night, and is learning basic obedience (she responds very well to treats and praise so she finds this fun).

What is Pixie Powder's ideal home? Pixie Powder's sweet and friendly personality will add color to any home, and she'd love to be a part of yours! She seeks a family to love and cherish her, to give her lots of new adventures, and to ensure she learns the skills that will make her a well-rounded and happy dog. In return, she'll make you laugh, keep you active, and bring a lot of love into your life.

Adopting from Path of Hope Rescue

At Path of Hope Rescue, our goal is to make EVERY DOG. WANTED. We are primarily a volunteer organization that focuses on transporting pregnant dogs and puppies from Texas, the number one kill state in America. The dogs we rescue are in poor living conditions and on euthanasia lists in shelters that are inundated with unwanted animals. We want to give these dogs a chance and bring them to the Pacific Northwest to find adoptive, loving homes.

Our adoption process sets us apart. We specialize in learning about you and your family to find just the right fit for you. Our Matchmakers are not only good at what they do; they will also guide you through the entire process.

Our Minimum Adoption Donation is $550 for puppies under a year and $450 for dogs one year and older. We are a WA state registered non-profit and rely heavily on adoption donations to cover the expenses associated with saving lives. Our dogs are spayed/neutered prior to adoption; microchipped with free lifetime registration; and up to date on DAPP, Bordetella, and Rabies vaccines (when age appropriate) and heartworm and deworming. Adopters can also earn a $100 training refund if they attend (6) hours of any in person training course.

We are 100% foster based; our dogs are fostered in loving homes where they are house and crate trained and learn basic obedience and leash skills. Dogs experience socialization opportunities with people, places, and other animals, and they receive the attention required to become well-rounded, healthy, and affectionate dogs that they would not otherwise receive in a shelter environment.

Our commitment does not end when the dog is adopted. Path of Hope offers post adoption owner support including information on making the dog's transition to your home a smooth one; recommendations for Preferred Trainers; advice on pet behavior and wellness topics; Facebook litter groups to keep in touch with fellow adopters; and invitations to local rescue hosted events.

Adopters may choose to travel to Spokane to pick up their dog or use our monthly transport option, Puppy Delivery Express, for an additional delivery donation of $250. Puppy Delivery Express currently delivers dogs throughout Washington and to parts of Montana, Idaho, and Oregon.

Please visit https://www.pathofhoperescue.com/ for more information about our organization and the adoption process.
