Meet Pickle
PICKLE is a sweet, but shy ~5 year old Chihuahua mix. He is very devoted to his family and loves to snuggle. He is a fun loving character with lots of personality and will always make you laugh.
Pickle is very timid with new people and situations. It takes him some time to warm up and he will require continuous socialization, exposure, and positive reinforcement. He does have a previous bite history (prior to coming to rescue and only know what we were told by the shelter and can assume about the situation). His current foster has not experienced any issues with aggression. Because of this, he will only be able to go to a home with older (16+) or no children. Pickle would do best with another small to medium sized dog to play with and help his confidence.
Pickle is working on crate and potty training. He is doing well with both but will need someone consistent and patient to continue his training. He is quiet once in his crate but can be a little possessive of his space when initially getting in. He is doing well with positive reinforcement and knowing that it is a safe space for him.
Pickle is approximately 12 pounds. He is neutered, up-to-date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. Smaller dogs tend to require additional dental care, in addition to regular vaccinations and year round heartworm treatment.
Pickle’s adoption fee is $350.
