Meet PICCOLO
Piccolo is a project dog.
PICCOLO is a 3-4 year old terrier mix. He has a vivid white and black coat and weighs 14 pounds. PICCOLO is a little particular with other dogs and can be bossy, so he might do best alone :)
Project dogs are very scared of strangers. These dogs will not go to strangers, they will run into a corner or under something to get away. They know us and we can pick all of them up, but we do not know if they will bite a stranger. Some will just run away. Most of them are our older dogs. Although, we do have some younger ones. The older dogs are also in need of a dental and rabies. These dogs have been with us from 6-10 years now. These dogs do not leave our fenced area. Nothing goes in and nothing goes out. They are welcome to live their lives out with us where they are comfortable. However, I think that some could learn to live in a home. They need time and patience.
If you are serious about adopting one of these dog(s) you must be willing to commit to visiting every day for approximately 2 weeks. We have done this with several of our dog(s) and it works. When they go to your home they are familiar with you. In a matter or several days or even hours they trust and feel safe with you.
If you cannot commit to the time needed please do not waste your time or mine. This is the only way you can adopt a project dog.

Then, if approved, you may call or email for an appointment. This is usually all very quick and easy.
