Picasso Hound & Labrador Retriever Mix Rochester, NY

PICASSO is a super nice young (~1) adult dog who has had a rough start to his life, but is ready to give and receive ALL the love! He's a bit over 50 lbs and maybe some kind of houndy lab mix in a gorgeous red color. One of his ears is missing, and it was not surgically removed, so he's had some trauma in his past, but it's all healed up and doesn't seem to give him any issues. He loves all other dogs he's met so far. He was reported to be SUPER scared and terrified in the shelter, but at the same time seeking out affection, but he's settled into his quiet foster home well, and it seems like with patience and love, he'll be just fine in his forever home. (PS We're assuming they were thinking of VanGogh who had one ear when they gave him the name Picasso in the shelter lol - but he says you can call him whatever you want as long as you don't call him late for dinner!) He does love playing with his foster doggy siblings.

Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue.

We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available.

PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
