Phoebe is approved for our fospice program, which means that the adoption fee is waived and all reasonable medical costs the shelter can provide will be provided at no cost to the adopter for the remainder of this pet's life for an approved adopter. To meet her, please visit the East Bank Shelter.

Phoebe is officially a fospice approved pup. The mass we removed was a mast cell tumor the despite wide margins. We did not get all the tumor off.

Phoebe aka Baby is a gem who was a favorite of volunteers who describe her as calm and sweet, but overlooked by the public at our West Bank Shelter for 5 long months, and is now at the East Bank to meet more potential adopters. Phoebe did wonderful at Barkus (walking in the French Quarter parade with hundreds of dogs and crowds of people) and various adoption events. Volunteers observed her withstanding three year old children very well. She likes kids and other dogs. Puppy had been overbred in her former home and then surrendered to the shelter because her owner could not take care of her. She is housetrained, walks wonderfully on the leash, responsive and loving. She passed her dog test and is good with dogs at the shelter and enjoys playing with them. She loves rolling on her back in the grass. She is an incredible girl who got lost in the overcrowding at the shelter. She weighs about 50 pounds.

The adoption includes vaccinations, mandatory spay/neuter, heartworm test, and microchip.
