Meet Penelope!

Penelope is a 3 year old, 25lb cream cavapoo. Don’t let her haircut fool you, she is going to be an adorable little floof when her fur grows back. Unfortunately she had to be shaved because her coat was matted.

Penelope is shy but sweet, attentive, and curious. She loves to follow her foster parent around like a shadow, snuggles in for pets and scratches, and has a lot of love and comfort to give. Like a lot of mill dogs, she didn’t have any experience in a house before going into her foster home. Loud noises and sudden movements are still scary for her. She gets along easily with other dogs and shows curiosity and good nature, but we haven’t seen her play much. Nonetheless, she would love a dog sibling to show her the ropes and help give her confidence. She loves her crate and goes there frequently as her safe space. She’s started down the road of potty training and doing well. She walks well on a leash.

Penelope is simply the sweetest. If you are looking for a dog to form a deep bond with and to be your constant companion, look no further. She will love a life of sitting on your lap or snuggling on the couch. Penny needs a lot of love and has so much to give!

We are in Rochester, NY, we adopt to people who live in the Rochester area. We do not ship our dogs and require home visits. Must live in area to adopt, will not respond to out of area/country requests. Additionally we require physically fenced yard for dog/pup to play in safely. Exceptions are sometimes made to this requirement but is up to the foster and more often done for the small breed dogs.

All our dogs have been treated with dewormer; heartworm tested (if age appropriate -7 mths or older); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian plus given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed at time of adoption. Dogs will be spayed/neutered thru us prior to finalizing any adoption.

We provide information on dogs age and breed based on what we are told by person surrendering dog or vet's best guess. While we try our best we cannot guarantee that this information is 100% accurate and can often be best guess in case of our lovable mutts.
