ADOPTED ON 04-12-23 This is Peanut he is a three month old male and weighs about 16 lbs. His mom is a shepherd mix and dad is a dachshund mix. Peanut has had all three of her vaccinations and is ready for her new home.
Peanut’s mom was dropped off at a home where they owned a little male Dachshund. The Dachshund had not been neutered and before they knew it, Momma dog was expecting pups. The family weren’t sure if their Dachshund was the dad, but when they were born with shorter legs than mom had and those little sweet sharper pointed faces, they knew who the daddy was!
The family has taken care of the pups since birth. The Momma dog has a great home now with another family member. Daddy dog got neutered and now they just asked RDVG to find these precious babies a great home too!
Peanut classified in the “sweet as can be” category. He is supper gentle with the foster girls and loves to run and play with them. He is devoted to his sister, Coco, but also adores another little foster dog named Benny. He will be there for anyone who will play with him. He gets along great with other dogs and has been non-reactive around cats; he even try’s to play with the cats at his foster home, but, we all know that cats refuse to cooperate if it is not their idea.
Peanut’s best description is that he is the biggest marshmallow, very laid back and is the kind of dog that will cuddle up and watch a movie, or just snuggle in his bed. He is the sweetest little short stack and being low to the ground makes it easy for him to flop over for belly rubs. He loves going on walks, car rides, and just spending his day with you.
You can't help but smile when you look at Peanut, proudly carrying his long, muscular body on short legs, his elongated head held high with a bold, intelligent look in his eyes. He has almost a comical appearance. He will make a wonderful pet for some lucky family, hopefully with kids or other small playful dogs.
