Peaches Rat Terrier Alexandria, VA

Peaches, like her namesake summer fruit, is sweet, fuzzy, and all around delightful. She weighs 11 lbs. and is approximately 2-3 years old. Peaches loves every human and dog, big or small, young or old. She is gentle and lively and loves to play. She would especially love to have another canine playmate around the same size to wrestle with and burn off some of her youthful energy. One of her favorite pastimes is playing "bitey face" with her foster fur brother. She might also do fine as a solo pet, as long as she has the opportunity for play dates with other dogs and play engagement with her humans.

Peaches is working on mastering house-training, but she is already crate trained and quickly learned how to use the dog door to go outside to do her business. Peaches loves walking on a leash and has even done some jogging with her foster mom! She also enjoys riding in the car (either in a harness or in a crate), and she is always looking forward to her next outing. Though she is active and adventurous, she is also very affectionate and delights in giving as many kisses as you'll allow.
