Meet Ozzie Bear!

Ozzie Bear is a sweet, energetic, and playful Aussie who is about 1 year old and 40-45 pounds. He loves to be outside! He will chase balls but doesn't bring them back to humans (yet). He loves to wrestle with his foster brother, and is incredibly friendly. He doesn't always understand consent from other dogs but knows to initiate play with the play bow. He is still socially a puppy in his behavior, but he has mellowed during the time he’s been in foster. He would do well with a patient dog sibling - probably a female or non-alpha male - who can continue to show him the ropes or in a home where he can continue to socialize properly with other dogs.

Ozzie loves to chew! He prefers soft toys to chew, and especially likes the stuffed animals with rope bits on them. Puzzles are another one of his favorite past-times.

He's really good on a leash and would do best in a fenced yard or on a leash. He is house trained but may need extra diligence in his transition to his forever home. He's sweet loves pets and scratches, especially around the ears. He's always alert and will always greet you and anyone else coming home. He does well with children; he currently lives with 3 doting human girls aged 5 and up and he's been very tolerant of them.

He still jumps a lot so if he lives with children they should weigh at least 45 lbs. He's still a counter/table surfer but does listen when told to sit and lay down. He could use some additional training and might excel dog sports such as agility. As much energy as he has, he's a good sleeper/napper as well and gets into the silliest positions! Ozzie is fostered in Front Royal, VA.
