Ozzie Australian Shepherd Alexandria, VA

This sweet, energetic, playful pup is about 1 year old. He loves to be outside! He will chase balls but doesn't bring them back to humans (yet). He loves to wrestle with his foster brother, and is incredibly physical and friendly. He doesn't always understand consent from other dogs but knows to at least initiate play with the play bow, he's still socially a puppy in his behavior however he's been mellowing out in the 3 months since he came to his current foster. Ozzie loves to chew- he prefers soft toys to chew, and especially likes the stuffed animals with rope bits on them. Puzzles are another one of his favorite past-times.
> He's really good on a lead, and would do best in a fenced yard or on a leash. When off leash he may run off to explore, but always finds his way home. He's sweet, and loves pets and scritches, especially around the ears. He's always alert and will always greet you and anyone else coming home. He does well with children, he lives with 3 doting human girls aged 5 and up and he's been very tolerant of them. He still jumps a lot so if he lives with children they should weigh at least 45 lbs. He's still a counter/table surfer but does listen when told to sit and lay down. He could use some recall training and would excel with a family that takes him to agility training. As much energy as he has, he's a good sleeper/napper as well and gets into the silliest positions.
