OWNER REHOME--COLT (not in LELRR care) Labrador Retriever Medina, OH

This is a private adoption from an individual owner and LELRR is helping to facilitate. There is no need to complete an LELRR application for Colt and contact information is at the bottom of the post.

Colt is a 4 year old purebred male black labrador retriever currently living in Heath, OH. He is up to date on all shots, heartworm and lyme negative and microchipped.

Colt is a people pleaser. He loves attention and will curl up on you while watching TV for as long as you let him. He loves to ride in the car, and enjoys being outside. He is currently on an Invisible Sense system and responds well on it. He enjoys walking, however he does pull when on a leash, so he would do best with someone who could work with him on that.

Colt loves his food, toys and even showers! He is mellow around adults and people in general. He is friendly with children who he meets, however, there aren't any children in his home, so he would be best with older children. Cats are unknown.

Colt is also crate trained, sleeps there overnight and willingly goes in.

His current owners have had him for over 7 months and adopted him from a military family who had gotten him as a pupppy and had another male dog, but told them two dogs were too much for them to handle. It became clear over the past several months after removing toys, feeding separately and consulting with trained professionals, that while Colt can be around other dogs, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home and receive all of the attention himself.

Colt has never had any issues of food or resource guarding with people--he just prefers to be the only dog. His family wants the very best life for this beautiful, loving boy and that would be in a home where he can be the center of attention.
