Hello fur fam, my name is Otis. I'm a 2 year old, 58lb pup looking for another foster or my furever home. MPP has been beyond wonderful to me since I left the shelter and made my way here to MT. My current foster I'm living with has given me love and 1:1 attention that I've been craving, even a sibling. As much as she wants to keep me, I'm not able to bond with her small pup as I can be to much when paying. So here's some wonderful things that she has learned about me:
- Crate trained and house trained
- I'm trusting with free roam within the house.
- Non-destructive(even with plants! )
- Big fan of cat naps w/ my human
- Loves chew toys and marrow bones; puzzle toys I demolish
- Gorgeous pittie smile for days
- Enjoys walks and does well w/ either a slip on leash and/ or Easy Walk harness
- Knows sit, lay down, eyes on me, go to bed(kinda knows "leave it")
- Gives kisses freely
- Good w/ dog washes, won't fight but stand in the tub and pout as protest
- Can be stubborn when given commands
- Doesn't bark unless a stranger comes into his space; treats win him over
- previous history of allergies but cleared up since I came to MT
- Interested in kids w/ proper introduction
- Enjoys being apart of your day
- Great on car rides, will choose to nap most of the time
- Is dog reactive on walks
- Preferably no small dogs as I tend to be a bully when given the opportunity
- Loves his sardines during meal time
- Learning to sit before getting out of car
- Isn't food or snack reactive
- Non reactive to touch and when he needs assistance on getting in the car or in the bed
Otis is a very sweet and loving dog. He needs a strong leader and strong siblings his size to help guide him with healthy socializing as well as boundaries. When training his selective hearing kicks in, don't let that get you down! He reasons well to Ziwi lamb treats, your patience and CONSISTENCY! This boy thrives on consistency.
