Meet Oliver

Male, 1 year old, 40 lbs

Personality: quiet, adaptable, calm, loyal, smart, shy, affectionate, and playful.

Orphan Oliver can't wait to find his forever home. He's quickly adjusting to city life and loves to meet new people and dog friends. He can be cautious of new friends for a few minutes, but he warms up quickly once he identifies that you are friendly.

Oliver has a very sweet and playful personality, and he's happy to curl up while you're working. He is still working out some of his puppy tendencies, and does well with a chew toy nearby! Oliver also loves long walks, particularly in Rock Creek Park where there are so many new things to sniff and explore.

Ollie is doing well with house and crate training, and already knows the words "leave it, "come, and "up. Could you be the one for Oliver? Apply today!

If you are interested in meeting a dog or cat, we require an adoption application. If the animal has "HAS APPLICATION" listed, they are still available to receive additional applications but also may be in the process of being adopted soon. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is a foster-based rescue in Washington, DC. We do not have a shelter. CDCK has a thorough adoption process to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first-served model).

Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter for dogs six months and older. We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam before adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDCK. City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us.
Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP,Lepto and Bordetella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis.

Most cats and dogs will have a house-training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained.
