Oh By Golly Have a Holly Jolly Christmas this year! That song was the inspiration for the name behind this Christmas miracle trio! This guy was committed to eke his family abandoned him and his siblings in terrible condition at a kill shelter in North Carolina emaciated to a heartbreaking and life-threatening point the week of Christmas. We initially saw his sister and committed to her but once we heard that there were two boys as well we committed to the trio. They went into Fosters in North Carolina for a couple weeks until being transferred after the new year to Furever Yours Rescue in Pennsylvania. We are so glad that we did find out about them on in time because each of these pets has been a delight to work with, get to know, and bring back to health.

OhByGolly, or Obie, has been with us here in Pennsylvania since the beginning of January And while he certainly can put on a few more pounds yet he is back up to a healthy weight and is ready to find his Furever family who will never let him be miss treated or neglect it again. Obie does better with female dogs we believe. He can sometimes get snippy with his brother. And we haven’t had the opportunity to engage him with a lot of other male dogs. But he has done well with the females he was introduced to. He also did awesome meeting cats but he has not lived in a free roaming situation with cats yet. But his initial interaction was very positive. He walks relatively well on leash and just kind of needs the basic I am a-year-old dog who was never given a lot of focus or training to fine-tune his awesome personality into a perfect companion! So plan on continuing his training! Even though he was not housebroken when he arrived we feel he is totally there now! He’s just a rockstar. He has come so far so fast and we are so in love with this special guy. He’s such a great guy and deserves the best family so please let us know why he’d fit in great at your place.
