Obie Boxer & American Staffordshire Terrier Mix Bethel, CT

Meet Obie, a super handsome one-year-old, 52 lb Boxer/Staffordshire Terrier mix with the cutest ears and dreamy brown eyes. Obie arrived at the shelter in the summer of 2023 where he was diagnosed with a rare skin condition called puppy strangles. After several months of tests and medications, he is fully recovered and now ready to find his happily furever after!

Obie has been described as the perfect mix of goodness, fun, and love all rolled into one! He’s a social butterfly who quickly captures the hearts of everyone he meets. If you’re looking for a dog that always wants to be by your side, Obie is your guy! Whatever you’re doing, he wants to do it too! He gets super excited to go for long walks, adventures, and car rides, but is equally as happy to cuddle up with you on the couch when it's time to relax.

He has a sweet, lovable, and playful disposition and is the perfect medium-sized, loyal family companion. Obie is friendly with everyone, including other dogs of all ages and sizes and cats. He instantly wants to be your BFF so a dog with a similar personality is recommended. Obie walks great on leash, is housetrained, and his favorite snacks are whipped cream, raw sweet potatoes, and peanut butter.

Obie’s ideal home would be one with another young dog for him to play with and a fenced yard to play and run around in. He doesn’t like to be alone so someone who is home often is also a must. He loves to run and play all day and needs a companion to keep up with him. Obie is truly the perfect dog. He has it all!
