He is dog selective and goes in a play group with several dogs every day.
He would be best suited for a female adopter.
There might be something in his past that makes him not immediately trust men BUT with time and very slow male introductions, he does learn to trust...as he has with the male staff at the shelter.
To the staff, he is a big goofball and soaks up all attention given to him.
He just needs his right person.
