Nugget Pit Bull Terrier Mix Hewitt, NJ

Nugget is a sweet boy about six years old, 65 lbs.
As you can see, Nugget has been in a foster home with several calm dogs. He enjoys running around with playful energy, easy-going doggie friends.
Our shy boy is unsure of strangers and new things and takes some time to warm up and learn to trust. Once Nugget trusts and becomes comfortable, he wants to be by your side and will follow you everywhere.
Nugget is low to medium energy, so with a short walk/play, he is happy to nap or snuggle on the couch most of the day. Hes also got great leash manners, and walks nicely.
Recently, two skin tags and a growth were removed and biopsied. Unfortunately, one growth was a low grade mast cell tumor. Good news is that the tumor was removed, Nugget is happy, healthy, and will only need to monitor for any new developments.
We are looking for a dog experienced, low people traffic, calm home without young kids for our special boy to continue to thrive in.
