Nolan was recently brought up to NJ from a high kill shelter in North Carolina along with his best pal Noel. The two senior Beagles were out hunting for deer with several other beagles. When a loose dog attacked his buddy, Noel. Nolan was brought to the shelter and never claimed by his owner. Noel was severely wounded by the attack and spent several days in the hospital. The owner was notified and his reaction was you should have left the dog to die in the ditch. When the two of them were reunited there were moments of joy. Nolan thought for sure his pal was dead. To see her alive again resulted in whimpers and screams of delight. We are trying our best to have someone adopt Nolan and Noel together after all if they have been through.

Both of them are under 25 lb, they walk well on a leash, although Noel does have a limp due to her leg being pretty chewed up by the attack. They are housebroken and they get along well with cats, dogs and kids.

They are just looking for someone to give them a soft landing for whatever years they have left of their life!
