Meet Nina

Gorgeous Nina comes all the way from Kuwait to find her happily ever after. She is currently with a foster family and thriving!

Nina is one year old and a stunning mix of Saluki and Siberian Husky. She is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped, and 41 pounds.

Nina is a sweet soul—harmless and always so gentle. She will thrive and do best building her confidence in a home with a second dog.

Her foster family tells us this:

I’ll just say that Nina is a wonderful dog. Her eyes are even more beautiful in person, and the contrast with her silly ears is just delightful. She’s a total sweetie pie, easygoing once she’s settled, and a calm energy in the house.

Nina has gone through an incredible transformation. She started very timid and fearful, but progressed in leaps and bounds immediately. You could almost see her building confidence each day, and after just 2.5 weeks I would say she’s very much settled. I believe a major part of this has been having another dog to show her the way—literally and figuratively.

As Nina comes out of her shell you’ll discover a gentle and quietly playful girl. She loves toys, and a healthy supply of bones and plushies is her paradise. There’s no wild puppy energy to speak of. She seems content with a quiet life of lounging, but given her heritage she’d certainly benefit from routine activity and/or a fenced in yard.

There’s not an ounce of reactivity or aggression in her. She can initially be fearful of new people entering the household, but fortunately she’s come to view her crate as a safe space, and she happily walks in when you lead her to it. Once inside she is perfectly content and comfortable, even with a guest in the room.

What else is there to say? Nina really is such a gentle sweetie. She’s quick to progress, and will be a great addition to your family.
