IN VERMONT

Meet Nike! https://youtu.be/9DjysuvmV2g

Nike is 2 years old, female (approx. DOB TBD), 73 lbs., vetted, is or will be spayed, and microchipped.

Well............this girl is from Dallas Texas and should never have gone through what she has gone through. We don't pull from this area due to lack of resources, however, fate led our Founder to one day hoe on the shelter site looking for a specific picture to help someone find a lost dog. There she was. She was going to get euthanized that day because she had a painful eye injury from only God knows how, she couldn't see well, was in pain, and was petrified of everyone. No, no, no - we couldn't possibly pull this off...........could we?? Yes, we could! And we did with the help of people we didn't even know (thank you Amanda) and some begging. We got Nike out of the Dallas shelter and her eye had to be removed. We thankfully got her to SC where our network of amazing volunteers are! Nike is good with other dogs, maybe cats can be nervous in new situations, and adapts quickly with some belly rubs! We think she is absolutely beautiful! Stay tuned for more information as Nike is a new rescue!

Disclosure:

Breed labels are often incorrect: we rarely know the genetic lineage of the dogs we rescue. Many shelters and rescues specify breeds based on appearance; however, research has shown that less than 2% of a dog's DNA determines appearance!

Passion 4 Paws does not practice the use of labels pertaining to compatibility with others or dog breed. Labels such as "dog friendly" and "child friendly" should be used with caution as they often over-simplify the personalities and behavior of dogs.
