Nessie American Bulldog Mix Williamsburg, NM

Hi! I'm Nessie and I am not above bragging. I am more of a tell-it-like-it-is girl and so that's what I'll do. There isn't a single person who's met me that doesn't absolutely love me. True story. Here's another good (true) story to illustrate my Nessie Magic.

A lady came to Desert Haven to be a dog walker. When she arrived I overheard her telling the volunteer orientation person that she has some fears around dogs like me.

I thought, "Huh? Dogs like me?!" I was puzzled. She's worried about short and stocky dogs who are fabulously good-natured with the most infectious, bubbly smiles and get-along-with-everyone attitudes? But the orientation person didn't fret because she knew that I am the right kind of dog to dispel myths, worries, and fears.

So guess who she introduced the brand new Dog Walker to first? Me of course! I sat on a dime to meet her. I was gentle in my want for petsies and belly rubs. I took treats nicely. Then I stood like a statue while she leashed me up and we headed out for a walk and playtime together. When we got to the play yard I melted in her arms while she gave me a massage (my all time favorite thing). Needless to say, I promptly turned that lady's frown upside down with my pleasant personality and my happiness.

All the other dogs like me too. I'm tolerant of adolescent puppy craziness and also have a distinct mothering quality for baby puppies too. I'm well liked by both my dog friends and my human friends! I'm what you call a Fan Favorite!
