Meet Nellie*
Nellie is a complete and total sweetie If you are looking for a big baby to love you unconditionally, look no further! Nellie is a timid dog, but she is seriously the best love bug you will ever meet!
We LOVE Nellie! She is a staff and volunteer favorite. She is always so happy to see everyone she knows. You'll know you've won her over when she shows you her belly!
Nellie is waiting to be adopted in a foster home and is doing great! We've learned that Nellie is housebroken and is well-behaved in the home. She can be silly and playful or mellow and relaxed - really just a great dog!
Nellie could potentially join a home with children, cats, or another dog. Right now, we think she would do best in a home where kids are 10 or older due to her initial timid behavior when meeting new people. During her cat evaluation, she showed no interest in the cat, but we can retest her with cats if requested. If your home already includes another dog, a meet and greet will be scheduled to make sure the two dogs are a good match. Calmer, respectful dogs would be a good fit with Nellie.
Give this sweet girl a chance and she'll be the best couch companion you could ever ask for! (PS - she does like to go for walks or play with soft squeaky toys too)
