Thank you for your interest in adopting. All of our dogs live in Alabama foster homes and transport to New England when they are adopted. If you adopt one of our dogs, you will speak to the foster family and you can request FaceTime, video or more pictures once your application is approved.

Every dog is spayed or neutered, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccines, microchipped, multiple dewormings, and pet receives parasite prevention. All dogs live in foster homes, in a family environment. Every dog comes with its health records.

Nellie is approximately 7 month old Alabama mixed breed that probably has Shepherd, lab, and other breeds in her DNA. She weighs about 40 lbs. and has some growing to do. She is good with other dogs, and good with chickens! She has not been around cats.

Nellie showed up stray in rural Alabama in December very skinny, and no one looked for her. The family who found her has asked for help finding her home. They are a nice young couple that has taken good care of Nellie and kept her medical appointments for us. They would be happy to speak with you about this dog.

Adopting a dog long distance comes with transportation costs. We have to pay a transporter for every dog we send to a New England home. We do not own the van. Every dog sees a veterinarian before they leave for a health check and health certificate, which also comes with a cost. We have been adopting dogs to New England homes for 15 years.

Total adoption fee for this sweetheart is $585.00, which is our local fee with transport and health certificate costs. Hasn’t changed in years.
