After the big Dog in the sky created Nash, the mold for making goofy boy dogs was broken!
Meet Nash! He is a 4-year-old golden lab mix designed to join a family who likes to laugh, and that’s no joke. Nash is a sweet dog who loves hanging out with his peeps, whether on the couch watching tv or for a trip to the drive-thru. At 85 pounds he’s no pocket pooch, so his adopter should be fairly strong.
Nash is super special. For one thing, you have to earn the right to see his silly antics and goofy expressions. This weirdo isn’t weird for just anyone. Second, you can’t imagine what a big dog looks like when afraid of things a kitten wouldn’t blink at. Fortunately, he lucked out by having a foster mom who is also a trainer. As a result, His confidence has grown so much that his scaredy-cat factor has been cut in half.
Seriously though, Nash is a deserving dog who is destined for a rescue hero that’s just as unique as he is. Nash needs patience, love, a quiet home, and time to get to know you. It’s a simple recipe you must bake on low to savor the yummy goodness of a furry friend with a kooky personality.
Aside from needing some extra time, Nash is just a regular dog. He likes chewing bones, eating peanut butter, taking naps, and cuddling. He also likes walking, but has a strong pull that needs to be worked on. He sleeps in a crate at night, but you can let him roam the house when you are away. He is housetrained and non-destructive and will basically sleep the day away if you are a working pet parent.
Nash is looking for a home with a relaxed yet positive vibe with people who won’t feed his fears but will also respect that he’ll need extra love on Independence Day. Requirements: large-dog experience; a single family home with space and a yard, preferably with a fence; and any kids will be 12+. He is ok with dogs he gets to know but should be the only pet. No cats!
