Hi, my name is Nala! I'm a PURPLE pawprint, which means I will fit well into a home that meets some specific criteria. Here is what would work best for me in my new home:

-Personality: Smart, loyal, attentive, affectionate, active

-Can Live with Kids: Nala lived successfully with kids in her previous home and should be fine doing so again. Everyone will need to meet at the shelter first to ensure they all get along!

-Can Live with Cats: Not recommended due to reported prey drive from previous owner

-Can Live with Dogs: We are still evaluating Nala to see how she does with other dogs here at the shelter. Ask staff if you'd like to know more!

-Can do Apartment Living: Not recommended- Nala was previously an outdoor only dog.

-Potty Trained: Unknown

-Bite History: No

-Positive Reward Based Obedience Classes Required: No

-Energy Level: Medium/high

-Needs Medical Procedure Before Going Home: Nope!

-Additional Information: Nala is a smart, loyal German Shepherd who was primarily outdoor-only in her previous home. Nala's previous owner said she's been known in the past to run off and chase cars, bicycles, etc, but also advised us that she was left out in the yard alone/unattended 24/7 which was likely a highly contributing factor to this. Nala is really searching for an adopter that will bring her indoors as a valued member of the family, and can commit to providing her with plenty of exercise, mental stimulation, and TLC. True to her breed, Nala is intelligent, attentive, and eager to please. She's very food motivated which will go a long way in her training!
