Monty Collie Mix Oklahoma City, OK

He’s a perfect size, he has perfect manners, and he’s looking to join a very special family! Everyone, meet Monty! This boy is estimated to be 3 years old and he became a Misfit after being found starved and abandoned at our partner shelter. Monty had been failed by a human, but for the life of us, we don’t know why. Monty is neutered, up to date on all age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, heart-worm negative, and micro-chipped!

Monty had a previous life, and we are certain it was with a human because he knows his manners, he sits, he listens great and he loves walking on a leash. Monty loves other dogs, pays no attention to cats, and is happy to have a warm bed and food in his belly. When he was found, Monty was super thin (approx.. 20 pounds) and now weighs 30 pounds. Ideally, he should probably weigh around 35 pounds – the perfect size! He’s an active boy that is learning how to play fetch, but still doesn’t quite understand bringing the ball back; however, he’s a great gatherer. Haha!

Monty plays with lots of foster siblings and does great with everyone. Monty is out of the annoying puppy stage, but he is still a very active boy and would love a family to take him on all of the adventures. We will never know his whole story, but what we do know is that this sweet boy deserves to be spoiled the rest of his life.

Being a medium boy and out of the annoying puppy stage, he should do great in about any type of home – from young kids to older kids, he will just love the attention. However, be mindful, with his breed that Monty is still an active boy and will be for some time. He would be an awesome running or walking buddy, but also a good rainy day couch buddy. Honestly, we can’t say enough good things about this special boy.
