Meet Monica!

Monica is an adorable German Shepherd mix who is around 5 weeks old! Monica is the chillest of her siblings. After a bath, she loves to be wrapped in a towel and take a nice, long nap. In fact, she did not want to wake up to get her picture taken for her profile! Monica has a delightful personality and the sweetest nature. She has a cute and expressive face, and loves to make new friends. She gets along great with other dogs, and would fit in well with a family with kids. She loves to play with her siblings, and wants nothing more than be to doted on by humans!

Monica looks just like her brother Ross. She has a beautiful tri-color coat, a mixture of tan, black, and white. Her body is mostly tan/chocolate, with some black markings around her face, and a white stripe down her nose that draws attention to her cute little face. She currently has blue eyes, but they will probably change with age. Her physical beauty on further compliments her personality! She'll make a wonderful addition to any house!

If you're interested in adopting Monica or any of her siblings, please complete an adoption application at rarerescue.org to learn more about the adoption process. They can't wait to meet their future paw-rents!

Monica is not ready for her spay surgery yet, but she will receive his first set of vaccines very soon. Her spay/neuter, rabies, and full vaccine series will be completed by RARE as age-appropriate and will be included in the Adoption Contract.

We understand that it is important to you to find the right fit for your family. We feel the same way! The DOG ADOPTION INTEREST FORM is important and REQUIRED for this reason.

All of our Adoptables are:

Spayed/neutered; Up to date on vaccines; Heartworm tested if six months or older (& kept on heartworm preventative and treated for heartworms if positive when entering our program): Microchipped prior to adoption

BREEDS: We are not breed experts. The breed(s) listed for each adoptable are best guesses or suggestions.

PLEASE NOTE: We are a non-profit organization without municipal or government funding. Veterinary/Medical expenses are constant for an animal rescue. Our adoption fees not only help to provide vetting and care for the animal being adopted, but they also help to cover heartworm treatments and other treatable ailments that many animals, that would otherwise be euthanized, need in order to be made available for adoption.

Please understand that adopting an animal is a LIFETIME COMMITMENT to that animal and there will be veterinary expenses throughout their life that can often cost several hundreds, if not thousands of dollars (without pet insurance), especially without annual checkups and preventative care. As a potential family for this pet you are responsible for their safety and that includes keeping them on your property.

***If you are not in the middle Tennessee area, transport can potentially be arranged to approved homes, depending on distance and local adaptability. We normally do not allow adoptions outside of 1.5 hours driving distance.
