PUPDATE: Mongo is looking for LOVE, and a couch! We love this sweet boy so much! He is our most polite ladies man, and he even tends to play with nice, young male dogs. Why he is still here we don't know. Mongo loves to snuggle in our laps, eat treats and snuggle up in his cozy bed. He is LOW KEY, doesn't need a lot of activity and he's pretty perfect as far as we are concerned!

Mongo is an older fella that came to us in very poor condition. He was mangy, emaciated and had wounds all over his body. We estimate him to be around 5-6 years old. Life has not been kind to this boy, and he really has never had real love until reaching our shelter. He has run as a wild dog most of his life. Upon coming into our facility he really wanted nothing to do with people and did not trust us at all. He has many skin allergies and requires to be on a special diet that can be a bit costly per month. We will supply you with the first bit of food for him. He gets sore from time to time and will need an anti-inflammatory to help ease the pain some days. Mongo has really decided to trust us and he wants nothing more now than to be with his person. He does well with female dogs, he does not really interact with them but he can co-exist peacefully. No small animals or male dogs for Mongo. If you think you have the right home for Mongo please fill out an application. We truly want him to go to the best home that can afford his medical/food needs on a monthly basis. We know he can show you his big heart if given the chance. (His favorite thing to do is sleep on warm fuzzy blankets on his bed) He LOVES naps! The adoption fee of $175 includes spay/neuter, current vaccines, microchip, free vet visit, 30 days of pet health insurance, puppy book, and engraved ID tag.
