DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Momo! He is literally the perfect dog for an active family or active individual! He is a VERY good boy, loves people and other dogs, and his mission in life is to have fun and cuddle with his peeps. Momo is smart too! He knows his basic commands, "sit, lie down, shake, drop it". He is a sweet active boy, very high-energy and affectionate, who wakes up everyday ready to play! Momo would be a great candidate for agility training - he pays attention to commands and is super athletic! He enjoys his trips to the dog park and is great with other mid to large sized dogs and will sufficiently wear out all the other dogs and still have energy to play some more. He would thrive in a home with another playful dog or kids to keep him company. He has lived in a home with a child 4-6 years old and is good with older kids, but he has never been around very small children or babies. He also could live with cats, he might chase a bit, but means no harm. Momo is very excited for walks, and tends to pull, but he uses a leader harness to remind him not to. His ideal home would have a big yard where he can run and play. Momo would love to find an active forever family who will give him the home of his dreams!

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.

Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (at partner vet if not fixed before adoption), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.
