Mocha Chihuahua Bowdoin, ME

Dear Mocha came to us in November last year from another local rescue. Mocha was originally in a shelter down south and adopted as a puppy 8 years ago. She was returned to that same shelter by the family who adopted her. She was bald and miserable. After getting treatment for a huge skin infection, she was brought north. The rescue who brought her here was overwhelmed with her skin issues and biting (she was very VERY uncomfortable and sensitive). Mocha was then brought to us. We have been treating her, trying to find the root of what is causing her skin to be so irritated. Mocha, has food allergies. She is now on a special diet (Purina HA) and will need to be on a special diet for the rest of her life.

Mocha is a 8.5 yr old Chihuahua. She is 12 lbs, spayed and up to date on vaccines. She is crate trained and is VERY happy in her crate, so much so that her crate will go with her to her new home. Mocha is a Chihuahua, she is Chihuahua house trained. She will go outside to potty if you insist and LOVES to go for walks. Mocha could take or leave other animals. She has lived with them, will sometimes be protective of things she likes, but overall is indifferent.

Mocha LOVES kids!! She is drawn to them and gives them kisses all over. She however, is a chihuahua and if you are not the person for her, she will let you know.

We think Mocha would do best with a low key household or someone with Chihuahua experience.
