Mitzie Pit Bull Terrier Mix Lacona, NY

Mitzie is a 4 1/2-month old pit bull terrier mix, brimming with love and joy, ready to find her furr-ever home! She came to us with her mom and seven other littermates from Kentucky. She currently weighs 23 lbs., so will be a medium/large size adult. Mitzie gets along with her older foster furr siblings and takes the hint when she is pushing their buttons! She enjoys showing them her toys and simultaneously struts her wiggle butt! She has not been around cats, but given her age/size would be okay once she understood the rules of the house!

Mitzie has done beautifully with her housebreaking and crate training. She has learned to “come” and “sit”. She responds well to your tone of voice and is treat motivated. She will entertain herself with toys and loves to show you her favorite stick when she is outside. She would do well as an “only” or with an active, older dog(s). She is the best snuggler! Mitzie is a pup with personality plus!…and sure to please with time, consistency and love as she grows in her new home!!

Due to her current age, size and energy levels, foster to adopt requirements are:

•Living within 500 miles of Adams, NY.
•Having previous/current pets in annually at a local veterinary office and up to date on vaccines as well as spay/neutered.
•Since they are puppies, they should be ok with both dog savy cats and active dogs in the home.
•Due to their current size and disposition, we are looking for homes with children over 10 years old.
•Willing to have current dogs/family members come to a meet and greet to meet the pet and be sure an acceptable match.
•Having time available to care for, socialize and start training of a new pet.
Preference will be given to homes with previous dog experience.

An adoption donation of $450 is being asked and she is current on age appropriate vaccines, flea and tick meds and she has been spayed.

Adoptions limited to an 80 mile radius of Pulaski, NY and pets must be viewed in person by all family members prior to adoption; animals will not be shipped to their new homes.
